Biograhy

Sugumar ganesan was born in Uvari village Tirunelveli district, TamilNadu, India,to his parents Mr.Ganesan and Mrs.Maduram who are from a farming family. He completed his schooling in Caldwell Centenary Memorial School, Idaiyangudi and did his BA graduation in Thiruchendur Aditanar college,and he completed his BL graduation in Tirunelveli Ambedkar law College.

From his school days he was interested in stage play and he also wrote,directed and acted many stage plays. After that in 2007 he started his cinema journey as a lyricist. He acted as a junior artist in kalingnar’s “ULIYIN OSAI” in 2008. And also acted as a character artist in few Tamil serials (Rekha IPS and Others). He taughtTirunelveli district regional language for the national award winner, Director Vasantha balan’s film "ANGADI THERU(2010)". He has written and directed the short film "Kadaisi Echarikai (The Last Warning)" in the year 2021.

Sugumar ganesan won the best director award for his first film.And this film won 6 Awards including clubby mini movie festival (2019-2020) award .The tamil cinema legends kalaippuli S.Thanu, k.Bhagyaraj, G.v.Prakash, Seeman, Velraj, Justin Prabhakaran and many others appreciated this film.
